The bargain is on the main street of El Corte Inglesias, which is centrally located between two major shopping centers. Leather goods are of very high quality and are something that Alicante is known for. The old town in the evening is a must. At the square near Santa Maria Church, there is an alley where a lot happens after 7 pm. Suddenly you hear Spanish guitar music in the alley and it is just to enjoy and feel the real Spain. There are many small Tapas restaurants in town that are cheap compared to other tourist resorts.
