Samos is a beautiful green island where tranquility prevails. Beautiful scenery and beautiful beaches make Samos the perfect destination for those who like sun and swimming. The nicest place to stay is Phytagorion. There are no beaches around town so reaching a beach requires a vehicle, car or moped. There are no hotel complexes or tall houses which gives it a cozy feeling. There are plenty of beaches on Samos which consist of sand or pebbles. If you want to stay near a beach then Kokkari or Votsalakia is a good choice. To be able to get around the beaches on the island, a rental car is preferred. Samos town is the capital of the island where you will find many shops, taverns cafes etc. You stay here if you promote city life before peace and quiet in the countryside. There are regular bus trips from the town of Samo around the island every day except Sunday.
You can travel to Samos with a charter company. Either a complete trip with accommodation or an air chair and then book accommodation separately. It is also possible to fly scheduled flight, but this often means several changes.
