Capital of Austria

  • About

Vienna is the capital of classical music. Here you can choose between many concerts and tickets for these performances you can buy during the summer period from vendors in the parks and in the streets outside the concert halls. Vienna is very walkable and in fact most of the tourist attractions are located within the Ringstrasse which is a ring of streets that frame the old part of the city. If you come to Vienna you should eat wienersnitzel it says but we do not think it is something to strive for, it does not taste so much and is quite dry. The traditional home cooking, on the other hand, is something we recommend.
Vienna has an excellent communication network. Bus, subway and tram are intertwined perfectly. A three-day card gives you free access to all three modes of transport. Remember to stamp the card the first time you step on it. Then it does not need to be stamped. Tram is the nicest way to travel when you get a chance to see the city at the same time. A visit to the Sacher café located on Kärtner strasse is a must when you are here. If you are interested in riding a horse and carriage, there are many of them around the opera and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Check out the architecture when you're out. There are lots of magnificent buildings. Vienna has many nice parks where you can sit and rest and enjoy the tranquility. In the city park you can see a gold-shining statue of Johann Straus
